Exploring sonic/experiential art forms that foreground performing bodies, from solo/ensemble, acoustic/electronic, audio/audio-visual, performance/installations, and anything in between.
Kenrick Ho (b. 1997) is a researcher-composer based in Hong Kong. His primary interests are broadly concerned with the embodiment of sound, often explored through foregrounding the role of the body in his compositional practice.
These explorations take many forms, ranging from solo or chamber works, to electroacoustic music and audio-visual installations. His music has been commissioned and performed worldwide, including in Hong Kong, UK, US, France, Italy, Austria, Germany, and Thailand.
His collaborators include Tacet(i) Ensemble, Hong Kong New Music Ensemble, Ensemble Linea, PPCM-Graz, Aktapha Ensemble, Lotte Betts-Dean, Stephanie Lamprea, Mira Benjamin, Heather Roche, Brian Archinal, Gunnhildur Einarsdóttir, and Seth Josel.
Kenrick holds a PhD in composition from the University of Leeds, supervised by Martin Iddon and Freya Bailes. He now works as a music curator in Hong Kong.
